Zodhya Innovates Energy Efficiency with AI-Driven Solutions, Slashing Carbon Emissions in Commercial Spaces

In the realm of energy efficiency, the excessive energy consumption and carbon emissions of buildings is a critical issue, particularly in commercial spaces.

A staggering one-third of global emissions stem from buildings, primarily due to electricity use.

Within these spaces, heating, cooling, and HVAC systems account for 60-70% of energy usage, exacerbated by extended working hours of 10-14 hours per day.

This not only leads to higher energy bills but also contributes significantly to the environmental crisis. Furthermore, managing multiple spaces can be chaotic, often leading to operational inefficiencies that add to the energy burden.

Zodhya, a startup incubated at T-hub in Hyderabad and founded by IIT Madras alumni Rohith Pallerla, Sharathmani Chinnasetti, and Adityanath D, is at the forefront of addressing this pressing issue.

Their mission is to enhance the way energy is used, aiming to reduce energy consumption and lower carbon footprints through innovative technology.

Their approach is not just about immediate benefits; it’s about making small changes today that will have a substantial impact on our future.

The results are already evident: Zodhya has saved approximately 50,000 electrical units, translating to a reduction of 45,000 kg in CO2 emissions.

They have ambitious plans to scale this up to a reduction of 1 million kg in emissions over the next 18 months.

Zodhya offers a suite of products designed to tackle these challenges. Their flagship product, “Soul,” is an IoT platform that provides predictive maintenance to streamline operations.

It quantifies the scope of emissions related to electricity usage, allowing businesses to track and manage energy inefficiencies in real-time.

This platform is compatible with any electrical appliance (up to 65 A) and can be utilised in any building, highlighting its versatility.

Another innovative product from Zodhya is “SaverX.” This patented product integrates with existing Building Management Systems (BMS) or Energy Management Systems, and HVAC systems, providing minimal hardware integration.

SaverX is an AI edge device that optimises HVAC energy consumption without affecting existing systems, thus increasing savings up to threefold.

Finally, Zodhya’s “Saver” is a patented device leveraging AI to reduce energy consumption in air conditioning systems by 30%.

It starts saving energy from day one and is designed to retrofit with existing HVAC systems without installation hassles.

Importantly, it ensures there are no compromises on cooling comfort or changes in how the ACs are run or set.

Zodhya’s innovative approach and products not only promise significant energy savings and reduced carbon footprints for businesses but also reflect a broader commitment to sustainable and efficient energy use.

As the world grapples with climate change and its repercussions, Zodhya’s efforts represent a step in the right direction, potentially influencing the industry to adopt more environmentally friendly practices.
