SuperGaming Launches 'Indus' Battle Royale Game in Open Beta with Unique 'Grudge System'

Pune-based gaming studio SuperGaming has officially launched its much-anticipated battle royale game, Indus, in an open beta phase.

It has already garnered over 12 million pre-registrations on the Google Play Store.

The Indus Battle Royale game is set in a futuristic society inspired by Indian civilization, blending art, culture, and history into an immersive gaming experience.

A standout feature of the open beta is the Grudge System, a gameplay mechanism that allows players to seek revenge on their in-game opponents.

When a player is eliminated by another, they can declare a Grudge against their slayer, leading to preferential pairing in future matches.

This system provides an opportunity for players to exact revenge, with successful eliminations earning exclusive rewards, such as cosmetics and in-game items.

In conjunction with the open beta, SuperGaming has also introduced a limited-period pre-launch battle pass for Indus.

Priced at 150 Indus Credits, the battle pass offers players exclusive rewards, including the Legendary Avatar Heena, modeled after real-life athlete Heena Sidhu, along with distinctive skins for vehicles and weapons.

To further engage its growing community, SuperGaming is launching the Indus Insiders 2 program.

Building on the success of the inaugural initiative, this program invites content creators and community members to collaborate with the development team.

Selected insiders will receive exclusive in-game rewards, early access to updates, and invitations to special events, reinforcing the bond between the game and its community.

Founded in 2017 by Roby John, Navneet Waraich, Sanket Nadhani, Christelle D’Cruz, and Sreejit J, SuperGaming is known for its popular mobile games MaskGun, Silly Royale, and Tower Conquest.

The studio is also developing its own gaming engine, SuperPlatform, to support hyperscale, real-time multiplayer games.

Indus was first unveiled in January 2022 and has since attracted backing from prominent investors such as Bandai Namco, Akatsuki Entertainment Technology Fund, Skycatcher, BAce Capital, and Dream Incubator.

The game is expected to be released across various platforms, including mobile, consoles, and PC, offering a fresh and relatable experience for gamers worldwide.
