Nazara Technologies Limited, India’s only publicly listed diversified gaming and sports media company, has announced its acquisition of Fusebox Games Limited, a prominent IP based gaming studio based in the United Kingdom.
The acquisition, valued at INR 228 crores (US$ 27.2 million), will be an all-cash transaction.
Fusebox Games is renowned for its successful interactive story game, Love Island, and is currently developing new games based on popular global TV intellectual properties.
In the calendar year 2023, the company reported revenues of INR 87.5 crores (US$ 10.4 million) with an EBITDA of INR 11.7 crores (US$ 1.4 million).
Demonstrating strong growth, Fusebox has already achieved Year to Date (YTD) revenues of INR 116.6 crores (US$ 13.9 million) with an EBITDA of approximately INR 33.3 crores (US$ 4.0 million) as of July 2024.
The company specializes in IP-driven interactive story games, which are primarily monetized through in-app purchases, accounting for around 92% of its total revenues as of July 2024.
Fusebox’s games have a significant presence in developed markets including the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, Switzerland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, and New Zealand, among others.
The company employs 30 professionals, predominantly based in the United Kingdom.
Commenting on the acquisition, Nitish Mittersain, Founder & CEO of Nazara, stated, “We see a large opportunity in building an IP based global gaming business that benefits from our core base in India, where we can support global studios through enhanced user acquisition strategies, data analytics, live operations, and new initiatives such as implementing our in-house AI playbook. Many of our existing IPs are good examples of this strategy, and we are happy to join forces with the talented team at Fusebox as we continue to build Nazara into a global gaming company of meaningful scale.”
With this acquisition, Nazara aims to bolster its core gaming segment by integrating Fusebox’s popular IP-based games into its portfolio.
This move is in line with Nazara’s strategy to expand its global footprint in the gaming industry and leverage its Indian base to enhance global operations.

Nazara Technologies Ltd. has established itself as a leader in the gaming and esports sectors, with a strong presence in India, the US, and other global markets.
The company owns several leading gaming and esports brands, including NODWIN Gaming and Sportskeeda/Pro Football Network, and offers a diverse range of interactive gaming products, including popular titles like World Cricket Championship (WCC) and gamified early learning ecosystems such as Kiddopia and Animal Jam.
Nazara’s acquisition of Fusebox further solidifies its position as a global player in the gaming industry.
