Google Welcomes Inaugural Class of Google for Startups Accelerator: Apps 2024

Google has officially welcomed its first cohort of startups into the newly launched Google for Startups Accelerator: Apps 2024.

The program, which is designed specifically for Android app-based startups, aims to help India’s emerging tech entrepreneurs scale their businesses and tackle pressing societal challenges in key sectors such as edtech, fintech, healthcare, climate tech, and more.

Announced in July 2024, the program has selected 20 promising startups with a wide range of innovative solutions.

These companies are set to receive mentorship, resources, and tools over the next three months to accelerate their growth.

The startups were selected from hundreds of applicants and the selected startups include:

Appreciate: A fintech platform designed to democratize finance in India by making investments and credit more accessible to a wider audience.

BeBetta: A gamified rewards app offering casual games and sports predictions, where users earn in-game currency that can be exchanged for real-world rewards.

BharatNXT: A one-stop platform enabling businesses to make all their payments using credit cards.

Cookr: A direct-to-consumer marketplace for fresh, natural, and healthier food and food products.

DroobiSmit India: A digital platform offering tailored metabolic health solutions through personalized, tech-driven guidance.

Fitterfly: A health-tech company developing digital therapeutic solutions for chronic disease management.

HomeGround: AI-powered tools for cricketers to analyze training and match videos for game improvement.

Kazam: An EV charging software platform creating India’s largest affordable and smart EV charging network.

Kidzovo: An interactive platform for kids’ learning, merging content from top creators with AI to make screen time healthier.

Kuddle: A pet care platform offering at-home services, personalized care, and e-commerce options to streamline pet parenting.

LISSUN: A mental health platform delivering personalized therapy and support for children, schools, and corporate environments.

Namma Yatri: A driver-first community providing affordable and accessible urban transport solutions.

Schooglink: A hybrid learning platform focused on delivering vernacular content and affordable education to K-12 students.

SpeakX: An AI-powered companion that makes learning English engaging and accessible, helping users develop communication skills.

STEMpedia: A platform providing AI, coding, robotics, and AR-VR learning for K-12 students.

SuperPe: A global commerce platform allowing users to work with local payment methods across borders.

Tap Health: A health-tech company specializing in early illness detection and chronic condition management.

Toonsutra: A digital storytelling platform offering global webtoons, comics, and manga in local languages.

Univest: A finance platform offering timely signals for Indian stock markets to help users make informed investment decisions.

Yellow: A platform that simplifies Will creation and offers post-demise services, helping families handle financial and legal complexities.

Google kicked-off the program this week with an intensive, week-long bootcamp at the Google Bengaluru office.

Over the next three months, Google will be working closely with these startups, providing them with the tools and expertise to build and scale exceptional Android apps.

Google will support these startups in overcoming technical challenges, refining their business strategies, and helping them find more avenues for growth and expansion.
