EaseMyTrip Launches ScanMyTrip Marketplace on ONDC, Expanding Digital Travel Services

EaseMyTrip, a leading online travel aggregator, has officially launched ScanMyTrip.com, marking its entry into the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC).

This initiative makes EaseMyTrip the first Online Travel Agency (OTA) to both offer and purchase travel services through the ONDC network.

ScanMyTrip.com is designed to be a comprehensive marketplace for travel services, enabling OTAs, Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), travel agents, and homestays to list and access services such as flights, hotels, and accommodations.

By integrating with ONDC, EaseMyTrip aims to enhance the digital infrastructure available to businesses in the travel and tourism sector, providing a more accessible platform for connecting with travelers.

We are very excited to build India’s first technology that will bring us one step closer to solving fundamental challenges of thousands of travel service providers. By integrating ScanMyTrip.com with ONDC Network, we are ensuring that every travel service provider in the ecosystem, from homestays to MSMEs, has the opportunity to thrive in a competitive digital market. Our goal is to provide access to advanced digital tools for businesses of all sizes, helping them scale and reach new customers” said Rikant Pittie, cofounder of EaseMyTrip.

The launch of ScanMyTrip.com is part of EaseMyTrip’s broader strategy to expand its market presence and diversify its business operations.

Earlier this year, EaseMyTrip incorporated Easy Green Mobility to manufacture e-buses and operate through its subsidiary YoloBus.

It also acquired a 4.94% stake in ETrav Tech Limited, aiming to enhance its offerings for corporate clients.

Additionally, EaseMyTrip has entered the insurtech sector with the launch of EaseMyTrip Insurance Broker, focusing on insurance brokerage services for Indian customers.

The company’s acquisition of a 13% stake in Eco Hotels and Resorts Ltd and its plans to launch a co-lending platform and non-banking financial company (NBFC) further reflect its commitment to broadening its business footprint.

In its recent financial report, EaseMyTrip reported a net profit of INR 33.9 Crore for Q1 FY25, a 31% increase from the previous year. Quarterly revenue surged by 23% to INR 152.6 Crore, driven primarily by air ticket sales.

Despite the positive financial performance, EaseMyTrip’s shares saw a slight decline, closing at INR 41.08 on the BSE, down 1.8% from the previous close.

With ScanMyTrip.com now live on ONDC, EaseMyTrip is poised to offer greater opportunities and digital capabilities to travel service providers, aiming to enhance their reach and competitive edge in the digital marketplace.
