Quick Commerce Giants Battle for Supremacy with 10 Minute Delivery of iPhone 16

In a high-stakes race to dominate the quick commerce market, major players like BigBasket, Blinkit, and Zepto have rolled out rapid 10 minute delivery services for the newly launched iPhone 16 in select cities across India.

The launch coincides with the much anticipated sale of Apple’s latest flagship phone, igniting competition among platforms seeking to capture a slice of the growing electronics market.

Blinkit Partners with Unicorn Infosolutions

Blinkit, in partnership with Apple’s premium reseller Unicorn Infosolutions Pvt. Ltd., has launched its rapid delivery service for the iPhone 16 in key metropolitan areas such as Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Pune, and Lucknow.

Blinkit CEO Albinder Dhindsa took to LinkedIn to announce the service, highlighting the additional perks available, including discounts on select credit cards and EMI options.

Zepto Joins the Race with Unique Offerings

Not to be outdone, Zepto launched its own 10 minute delivery service for the iPhone 16 on the same day, targeting cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Delhi-NCR.

In addition to the fast delivery, Zepto is offering a special INR 5,000 discount for eligible cardholders from banks such as BOB Card, RBL Bank, and AU Small Finance Bank.

BigBasket Teams Up with Croma

BigBasket, a Tata Digital-owned company, also entered the fray by partnering with electronics retail giant Croma to offer 10 minute delivery of the iPhone 16.

The grocery giant’s move into electronics marks a strategic effort to boost average order values (AOV) and expand its offerings beyond essentials.

Blinkit Leading the Quick Commerce Surge

Blinkit, which reported impressive growth figures, remains at the forefront of the quick commerce revolution.

For the quarter ending in June 2024, Blinkit achieved an average order value of INR 625 and recorded a gross order value (GOV) surge of 130% year-on-year to INR 4,923 crore in Q1 FY25.

The platform now operates 639 dark stores nationwide, with plans to expand this number to 2,000 by 2026, further solidifying its market leadership.

The race to dominate electronics quick commerce highlights the ongoing boom in India’s electronics sector.

With growing consumer demand for premium tech products delivered swiftly, platforms like Blinkit, BigBasket, and Zepto are seeking to redefine shopping convenience for high-value goods.
